Academic integrity

Support the writer, not shortcuts.

VerbaSpaces is built to clarify requirements, strengthen the user’s own reasoning and verify evidence—not to disguise authorship or fabricate research.

No fabricated citations

A source must be retrieved before VerbaSpaces can present it as a recommendation. Missing authors, titles, dates and DOIs should remain missing until they can be verified.

Explanations before acceptance

Writing suggestions can show the original sentence, proposed sentence, changed words, reason, grammar rule and effect on tone or readability so the writer remains in control.

Detector results are estimates

AI-detection percentages can misclassify human, translated, edited and academic writing. They should not be treated as proof or used alone to penalise a writer.

Follow institutional rules

Permitted uses of AI differ between assignments and universities. Users should follow the instructions supplied by their lecturer, department and institution.
