Plagiarism Checker
Search for matching web passages, open the reported sources and review the wording behind the similarity score. The checker helps you investigate overlap; it does not make a final judgment about plagiarism.
Run a live scan, then open and review the sources behind any reported overlap.
No plagiarism checker covers every private, restricted, removed or unindexed source. Review every match before deciding what it means.
Investigate matching passages instead of trusting one percentage.
The VerbaSpaces Plagiarism Checker searches supported web sources for overlapping language and shows the sources behind the result. A match is evidence to review—not an automatic finding of plagiarism.
What the checker detects
The checker reports exact and similar wording found through its supported live web scan, together with source URLs, matching passages and word-level counts. It does not claim complete coverage of the internet.
How to check for matching text
Paste at least 100 characters, run the scan and inspect each listed source. Longer, meaningful passages usually provide more useful context than isolated phrases or a short title.
How to review matches
Open the source and compare the highlighted idea with your draft. Decide whether the overlap is a quotation, a common phrase, correctly cited wording or language that should be rewritten and attributed.
Academic plagiarism review
A responsible academic review considers citations, quotation marks, reference entries, drafts and institutional policy. Similarity alone cannot determine intent or misconduct.
Coverage and accuracy limits
Private databases, removed pages, restricted content and material that search providers have not indexed may be absent. A low score is not a guarantee of originality, and a high score requires interpretation.
A source match needs context
The same matched wording can require different action depending on how it appears in the draft.
A sentence matches wording on a public web page and contributes to the similarity score.
Open the source, check whether the words are quoted and cited, then revise or attribute the passage where needed.
Use the tool. Keep the context.
The plagiarism checker reports overlap found by its supported live web scan. It cannot cover every private, deleted, paywalled or unindexed source, and every match must be reviewed in context.

What to know before you use it.
What does the VerbaSpaces Plagiarism Checker detect?+
It searches supported live web sources for matching or similar passages and returns source URLs, matched-word details and a similarity estimate for review.
Does every match count as plagiarism?+
No. Quotations, reference titles, formulas and common phrases may appear as matches even when used appropriately. Read each match in context.
Does it search the entire internet or private university databases?+
No. The current checker searches supported web sources and does not claim complete coverage of private, removed, restricted or unindexed material.
Is the result 100% accurate?+
No plagiarism checker is 100% accurate. A low score cannot guarantee originality, and a high score does not by itself prove misconduct.
How should I use it for academic work?+
Review each source, check quotations and citations, rewrite accidental close wording in your own voice, and follow your institution’s academic-integrity rules.
